2008 MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATIONS
Family Plus: This membership consists of a single person, married couple, or couple that is cohabitating, with dependent children living at home under the age of 22 as of January 1 of each year, and still a student at an accredited academic school at least part-time, defined as at least 6 credit hours per semester. Members shall enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges, as well as club reciprocals. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply.*
Family Golf: This membership consists of a married couple, a couple that is cohabitating, or a single parent and one dependent child as outlined above. Members shall enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges, as well as club reciprocals. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply.*
*Family Golf and Family Plus Designation: Effective February 2008 those members age forty (40) and over who’s children are twelve (12) and under will not have to join as a Family Plus Member. They are allowed to remain as a Family Member (two (2) persons) until such time as at least one child reaches the age of 13. (Age must be obtained by January 1 of the membership year). Weekend playing restrictions of 2:00 PM apply to those children twelve (12) and under. Weekday play shall be at the discretion of the Pro Shop Staff.
**Single Golf: This membership consists of a single person; no other family members have any club privileges. Members shall enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges, as well as club reciprocals. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply.
- **This allows any one person to join under this membership classification, regardless if they have a family or not. However, it must be stressed that no other family member has club privileges. This would include use of the dining room unless the club member was present.
What this means is that a club member in this classification is allowed to bring guests with them, send a guest to the club to play golf or have a meal with or without the member present, as always. However, if the “guest” is an eligible family member, the member must be present. Otherwise, the member would be enjoying Single Family Golf Benefits and would then be required to join under the Single Family Golf Classification
Single Family Golf:This membership consists of a family where only one person has golfing privileges; all other family members have club privileges only.
Junior Associate: This membership consists of a single person; married couple or couple that is cohabitating with or without dependent children. At least one member shall be at age 39 or less as of January 1 of each membership year. Members shall enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges, as well as club reciprocals. Monthly food and assessment fees apply.
Club House Social: A family or individual 18 years or older who enjoys full clubhouse privileges at C.C.C. and full clubhouse privileges at reciprocals. New members joining after 2002 must be a member for one (1) year to obtain voting privileges.
Blue Tee Social: A family or individual 18 years or older who enjoys full clubhouse privileges at C.C.C. and reciprocals along with seven (7) rounds of golf per season, per membership to be played at C.C.C. Two additional golf rounds can be played with the purchase of green fees. Members in this classification are not allowed to participate in C.C.C. Inc. golf tournaments (as a member or guest) or in leagues. There are no reciprocals with this membership. New members joining after 2002 must be a member for one (1) year to obtain voting privileges.
Non-Resident: A person or family whose chief New York residence is located outside of Cortland, Tompkins, and Onondaga County, North of Route 20 to Skaneateles and anything West of Route 41A to Route 359 to Route 38A to the Tompkins County Line. Confirmation of address is required. This category shall enjoy full golf, clubhouse and reciprocal privileges of the Club. Refer to Family Plus classification for eligibility of children. Confirmation of age and school enrollment is required for all eligible children listed on the membership application. New members joining after 2002 must be a member for one (1) year to obtain voting privileges. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply.
Temporary Golf: This classification is for former members who reside out of state. Full golf and clubhouse privileges are extended for a period of four (4) consecutive weeks. A monthly food minimum applies. A written request including intended dates of membership is required.
Student Golf: This membership entitles a full time high school or college student beginning or already in the ninth grade through the age of twenty-two (22), a limited golfing membership for play at C.C.C. Members under the age of eighteen (18) are not allowed to participate in C.C.C. golf events other than the Junior Club Championship, unless permission is given to do so by the Board of Governors. A completed membership application with a member sponsor and parental approval is required. The parents who signs the application accepts full responsibility for the payment of annual dues and any other charges incurred on the account. No minimum or initiation fees apply. New members joining after 2007 may at the discretion of the Board of Governors be subject to assessment fees.
Enhanced Golf and Social: Level 1: Includes twenty (20) 18-hole round of golf or forty (40) 9-hole rounds of golf, or any combination. Additional bundle of ten (10) 18-hole rounds can be purchased if needed @$450.00 (rounds do not accumulate year to year.) Anyone may use these rounds as a guest of the primary member; 3 visit limit on individual guest usage. Full clubhouse privileges will be afforded to the primary member and guests, including use of the dining room, banquet facility, locker room, pro-shop, and small private meeting and dining areas. Monthly food minimums and assessment fees apply.
Level 2: Same as Level 1 except forty (40) 18-hole rounds of golf or eighty (80) 9-hole rounds of golf, or any combination.
Senior Golf: A husband and wife, or a single person who attains the age of seventy-five (75) years of age and has paid dues to the Club for twenty-five (25) years (consecutive or non-consecutive) qualifies for this membership. This classification enjoys all golf and clubhouse privileges at the Club and reciprocals. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply.
Trial Passport to CCC: Trial Passport to the Cortland Country Club: This Membership Classification shall be available to New Members Only and to Former Members who have been out of Cortland Country Club more than two (2) consecutive years. For $350.00 (paid in full at application time) a single person, couple or family may join Cortland Country Club and enjoy full membership privileges for a period of one calendar year. (Time period between January and December)
Upon gaining membership, the member, couple or family pays $25.00 per person per eighteen (18) hole round and $15.00 per person per nine (9) hole round. Guests pay standard guest rates and no free guest passes are provided to this classification. Golf carts may be used at regular club fees at any time. Members in this classification upon payment of the above greens fees may participate in tournaments, league play and any other events held at CCC. (Members in this classification will be placed on a waiting list for major tournaments and be provided open spots once regular membership has had the opportunity to fill open tournament spots). No monthly food minimum, capital assessment or special assessment shall apply to Members in this classification. All other rules, regulations and requirements regarding Golf, Dress and Club House use at Cortland Country Club shall apply to anyone joining under this classification.
Members joining this Classification if they join Cortland Country Club the following year after “Trial Passport Membership” will receive $150.00 credit of their original membership fee towards the next years Membership Dues. Each member must provide a valid Credit Card to the Club and join as a “pay as you go” member. There are no voting rights, ownership rights, charging privileges and are first come first served basis with a membership limit of *65 per year. Membership in the classification is good one (1) time and for one (1) year only.

PAYMENT OPTIONS AND METHODS (02/11/08 BOG)
Payment Options: All members current and future shall have the option of paying their Membership Classification Dues with 25% down payment by January 31st of each year. They then shall pay the remaining balance by making ten (10) equal monthly payments including a $5.00 per month processing fee.
(As 2008 has already begun, the down payment shall be the same and will be allowed through May 31st and equal monthly payments shall be made through the end of November 2008 regardless of the number of months remaining at the time a current or future member shall renew or join the Cortland Country Club).
(Food Minimums and Capital Assessments shall be billed monthly per standard policy.)
Payment methods: Effective February 2008, Cortland Country Club will accept Credit Card and Cash Payments for Dues, Food, Beverage and Pro Shop purchases. (Credit Cards may be subject to handling fees) Cash payments will be accepted at the Snack Shack as well. All payments that apply to your monthly minimums shall continue to be applied if paid by Credit Card and Cash.
Payment Security Required: Effective February 2008, all new members and former members who return to Cortland Country Club, shall be required to provide a valid Credit Card to the Club for guaranteed payment. Once any balance owed to the Club reaches ninety (90) days past due, the Credit Card shall be charged for all unpaid balances including late fees. (Requirement appears on new membership application).
