Family Golf Classifications
Members in these categories consist of a married couple, or couple that is cohabitating and both individuals play golf. Members enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges, as well as club reciprocals. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply. Membership classification allows all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge. Children must be residing within the same residence as the member. Residing at a college is recognized as within the same residence.
Junior Family Golf: At least one member is age 39 or less as of January 1 of each membership year.
Associate Family Golf: At least one member is age 40 – 45 as of January 1 of each membership year.
Family Golf: Both members are age 46 or older as of January 1 of each membership year.
Senior Golf: One or both members are age 75 as of January 1 of each membership year and at least one has been a member of the Cortland Country Club for at least twenty (20) years (does not have to be continuous years).
Enhanced Social with Golf: This membership category consists of one or two persons and includes twenty (20) 18-hole rounds of golf or forty (40) 9-hole rounds of golf, or any combination. Additional bundle of ten (10) 18-hole rounds can be purchased if desired @$450.00 (rounds do not accumulate year to year.) Anyone may use these rounds as a guest of the primary member. Full clubhouse privileges will be afforded to the primary member and guests, including use of the dining room, banquet facility, locker room, pro-shop, and small private meeting and dining areas. Golf privileges at reciprocals do not apply with this Membership**.
Blue Tee Social: This membership category consists of one or two persons who enjoy full clubhouse privileges with eight (8) 18 hole rounds of golf or (16) 9 hole rounds of golf or any combination per season. While there are no golf reciprocals with this membership, there are full clubhouse privileges at reciprocals. New members joining after 2002 must be a member for one (1) year to obtain voting privileges.Additional golf rounds cannot be purchased, but a member can upgrade to another level**
Single Golf Classifications
These membership categories allow one person to play golf, regardless if they have a family or not. These members shall enjoy golf and clubhouse privileges as well as club reciprocals however; no other family member has club privileges, reciprocal privileges or use of the dining room unless the club member is present. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply. These categories of membership allow all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge. Children must be residing within the same residence as the member. Residing at a college is recognized as within the same residence.
Young Adult Single Golf: The member is age 23 – 30 as of January 1 of each membership year.
Junior Single Golf: The member is age 31-39 as of January 1 of each membership year.
Associate Single Golf: The member is age 40-45 as of January 1 of each membership year.
Single Golf: The member is age 46 or older as of January 1 of each membership year.
Single Family Golf: One golfer has golfing and golf reciprocal privileges; all other family members have clubhouse privileges including reciprocal clubhouse privileges.
Social Membership Classifications
Members in these categories enjoy full clubhouse privileges at Cortland Country Club and full clubhouse privileges at reciprocals. New members joining after 2002 must be a member for one (1) year to obtain voting privileges. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply.
Club House Single: This membership is for one person with or without children living at home age 22 and under as of January 1 of each year**.
Club House Family: This membership is for a married couple or a couple that is cohabitating with or without children living at home age 22 and under as of January 1 of each year**.
Other Classifications
Non-Resident: This membership category is for a single person, or a married couple, or couple that is cohabitating, with or without dependent children living at home age 22 and under as of January 1 of each year whose chief New York residence is located outside of Cortland County including Tompkins County North to the Cayuga County Line, West to Route 34 to the East side of Tripphammer Road and South to North side of Route 79 to the Tioga County line. Onondaga County North of Route 20 to Skaneateles and anything West of Route 41A to Route 359 to Route 38A to 38 to the Tompkins County Line. Confirmation of address is required. This category shall enjoy full golf, clubhouse and reciprocal privileges of the Club. New members joining after 2002 must be a member for one (1) year to obtain voting privileges. Monthly food minimum and assessment fees apply. This category of membership allows all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge. Children must be residing within the same residence as the member. Residing at a college is recognized as within the same residence.
Temporary Golf: This category is for former members of the Cortland Country Club who now reside outside of the resident boundaries as noted in the Non-Resident Category. This membership consists of one person, married couple, or couple that is cohabitating, with or without dependent children living at home age 22 and under as of January 1 of each year. Full golf and clubhouse privileges are extended for a period of four (4) consecutive weeks. A food minimum applies. A written request including intended dates of membership is required. This category of membership allows all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge. Children must be residing within the same residence as the member. Residing at a college is recognized as within the same residence.
Student Golf: This membership category entitles a high school student who is in at least the ninth grade or a college student through the age of twenty-two (22) as of January 1 of each year, full golf and clubhouse privileges. Members under the age of eighteen (18) are not allowed to participate in Cortland Country Club golf events other than the Junior Club Championship, unless permission is given to do so by the Board of Governors. A completed membership application with a member sponsor and parental approval is required. The parent who signs the application accepts full responsibility for the payment of annual dues and other charges incurred on the account. No food minimum or any type of assessment fees apply.
Passport: This membership category is available to new members and to former members who have been out of Cortland Country Club more than two (2) consecutive years. For $400.00 including tax (paid in full at application time) one person, a married couple, or couple that is cohabitating, with our without dependent children living at home age 22 and under as of January 1 of each year may join Cortland Country Club. These members will enjoy full membership privileges. Membership expires on the 31st of December of the year of membership. The member, couple or family pays $25.00 per person per eighteen (18) hole round and $15.00 per person per nine (9) hole round. Guests pay standard guest rates and no free guest passes are provided to this category. Members in this category may participate in tournaments, league play and any other events held at the Cortland Country Club but are required to pay green fees. Members may also utilize the Club’s reciprocal privileges but are limited to one time at each club and no more than 3 visits in total and must pay the above noted green fees to Cortland Country Club. (Members in this category will be placed on a waiting list for major tournaments and be provided open spots once regular membership has had the opportunity to fill open tournament spots). No monthly food minimum, capital assessment or special assessment shall apply to members in this category. All other rules, regulations and requirements regarding golf, dress and Club House use at Cortland Country Club shall apply to anyone joining under this category. In addition, there are no voting rights or ownership rights with this membership. This is a one (1) time only membership. This category of membership allows all dependent children through age 22 to play golf free of charge. Children must be residing within the same residence as the member. Residing at a college is recognized as within the same residence.

Members joining Cortland Country Club the year following “Passport Membership” will receive $150.00 credit towards their Membership Dues
**Members in these categories are not allowed to participate in the following events as a member or a guest: Men’s and Ladies’ Tuesday and Thursday Night League Play, Men’s Member/Guest, Ladies’ eighteen (18) hole Member/Guest, Men’s and Ladies’ President’s Cup, Men’s and Ladies’ Club Championship, Ladies’ Member/Member (Gus Dillon).
